Ruwwad’s Sub-grants are awarded specifically for the purpose of developing and implementing youth programs with the three YDRCs and their affiliated clubs. The first round of grants covered four themes which included civic engagement, leadership development, livelihood opportunities, and sports and culture. Moreover, the department awards grants to for the implementation of three thematic sub-grants in the areas of: psychosocial and career counseling, robotics, and business incubation.
To foster education growth, the department is in the process of launching an exclusive English Language training program that will be implemented online through the launch of the Private Virtual Network (PVN) to connect the YDRCs with their affiliated clubs.
Current Events
- The Young Pillars Psychosocial and Career Counseling Project will be offering trainings in career counseling, CV preparation, psychosocial techniques, and conflict management to 420 participants at the Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs) and affiliated club. 42 youth leaders, who received extensive career counseling, psychosocial and conflict management training, will start giving this 3-month-training starting this June.
- The Business Incubation Program will be offering a business development and entrepreneurship training for 120 youth at the Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs) and affiliated clubs. The training will take place in May and June and will be given by 21 youth who received a similar training at an earlier stage.
- Al-Bireh YDRC Soccer Summer Camp 2010 Project will be offering training for male and female Soccer players from Al-Bireh, Jerusalem, and Jericho districts. The project will be implemented by Al-Bireh Youth Foundation.
- Sport School Project will be offering soccer, tennis and basketball training for male and female youth. The project will be implemented by Jabal-Al Nar YDRC.
- PCHC Reviving Sport and Culture for Youth Project will be offering a variety of activities including volleyball, mono-bicycle, debka, and crafts. The project will be implemented by the Palestinian Child Home Club/Beit El-Tifel.
- Five Youth Development sub grants will be awarded to local NGOs throughout the West Bank. The sub-grants will be targeting youth at the Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs) and affiliated clubs.
